Overview

We ship internationally except to some countries. If your country is not on our list, please contact us at cs@bb-antiques.jp or complete the contact form.

Shipping Methods

We offer free shipping to urban areas. Shipping methods depend on the items and countries. We use EMS, DHL, and Yamato UPS.

Delivery Address

Please use a full street address. We do not deliver packages to the address as follows:

- General Delivery (Poste Restante)

- P.O. Boxes

- APO/FPO/DPO addresses

Remote Areas

If your delivery address is in a remote area, you need to purchase a remote area shipping surcharge. EMS does not have additional charges for rural areas, but it can sometimes be more expensive than DHL and UPS, depending on the weight and volumetric weight of the commodities.

Shipping Charges

We offer free shipping to urban areas excluding remote areas. You need to check out with the remote area shipping price if your delivery address is in a remote area. Free shipping does not include “Package Protection (Fully Insured Service)”.

Tax and Duties

You are responsible for paying duties, customs fees, and local taxes. We do not collect fees or taxes on behalf of your authorities. You need to pay them before receiving your package. We do not mark purchases as “Gifts” or reduce the value of items on customs declarations.

Delivery Days

We usually ship within 3 business days after receiving cleared payment. Delivery times vary by region:

- North America: 4 to 10 working days

- United Kingdom: 4 to 10 working days

- Europe: 4 to 12 working days

- Oceania: 4 to 12 working days

Shipping delays are beyond our control due to events or phenomena. Regular working hours are typically Monday through Friday, excluding weekends and Japanese public holidays. Business days start from the day after your order ships (the first day doesn’t count as a business day).

Packing

We sometimes use recycled air-bubble sheets and recycled carton boxes as shipping materials. We use thick plastic bags for packing fabric bolts, kimonos, and obi sash belts. Unfortunately, we do not offer a gift-wrapping service for international shipping because we prioritize safety over appearance.

Package Protection

All shipping methods (EMS, DHL, and UPS) are not fully insured. If you want to ensure your package is protected, please check out with Package Protection. If you do not, you may need to use your own insurance.
