Overall condition is in very good vintage condition consistent with age. (Less used)
This calligraphy comes with the original sign, seals, original paulownia box and original paper box.

The word is “Hougejyaku”.
Literally means “Let it go”.
The meaning of Zen Word is
You believe you had reached the final realm of Zen like selflessness after many years of hard training.
But you still need to let your obsession, attachment and pride go.
Because you think you have your conscious that you reached the realm.

It was written by highest famous Zen master priest Nishigaki Soko (1908-1985).
Nishigaki Soko was born in Gifu in 1908.
He entered to Shinju-an, Daitoku-ji that is the famous temple of Zen monk, Ikkyu Sojun (1394-1481).
He studied Buddhism and Zen under the chief priest of Shinju-an, Nanzan.
He got Soko as the monk’s name and Bunzan as the monk’s pseudonym.
He became abbot of Daitoku-ji’s affiliated temple Gokuraku-ji in Kinosaki, Hyogo in 1939.
He was Daitokuji’s councilor and the chief of legal department.
He graduated from Bukkyo university graduate school in 1976.
He became a retired monk in 1978.

There are many his collectors in Japan.
It is very suitable for Zen lovers.
