This light color ink painting comes with the original sign, seals and original box.
It was painted from 1895 to 1917.
Painter: Mori Yuzan (1869-1917)
Studied under his grandfather, Mori Kansai (1814-1894) and especially studied the Maruyama school. He was adopted by his grandfather later on. In 1894, after his grandfather passed away, he exhibited `Shinzan Yuen’ at the 3rd Painting Exhibition of the Japan Youth Painting Association and received a third prize.
In 1895, he exhibited ‘SyoukyokuJyuyuzu’ at the 4th Painting Exhibition of the Japan Youth Painting Association, and he received the third prize again.
He also served as a committee member when the Kyoto Kouso Kyokai was established in 1891.
A famous Japanese painter who was active from the mid-Meiji (1883-1897) period to the early Taisho (1912-1917) period.
