Vintage Arita Nabeshima Sencha Houbin Teapot, Houhin Kyusu, Hataman Touen, Japanese Sencha Teapot, Unused or Very Less Used,

Hataman Touen was founded in 1926 by Hataishi Mantaro as the name of Manyo kiln. Later on, they created Yansui paintings that became their representative works as Hataman. After the end of World War II, the second generation, Hataishi Haruyuki, established Hataman Seisakusyo and started selling Sansui paintings at Ginza Mitsukoshi Department Sore.
The Sausui painting products made their name widely known.
The third generation, Hataishi Masahiro changed the company name to Hataman Touen and developed a unique product called Sumi Sansui.
In 1990, the fourth generation, Hataishi Masatsugu became the president of Hataman Touen and launched products such as Hina dolls and Nabeshima series.
Based in Ookawachiyama, Imari-city Saga.
The Bizen Saga domain had their own Nabeshima kiln.
It was located and called “the village of secret kilns”.
Hataman Touen continue to work as the successors of traditional techniques.

Nabeshima ware produced in Saga, Japan. The Nabeshima kiln was established first during the Kan’ei era (1624-44). The Nebeshima kiln produced a great deal of high refined blue-and-white and polychrome overglaze-enamelled wares. – Quote from A Dictionary of Japanese Art Terms
