This colored painting comes with the original sign, seal, original paper box and original paulownia box.

Avalokitesvara is a one of six bodhisattvas.
Avalokitesvara is the Kannon Bosatsu of great compassion and has the role of guiding hell to good.
It is important to highlight that Kannon had actually become a Buddha known as The Buddha who clearly understands the true law” in the past.
In order to make direct contact with sentient beings and lead them from suffering, he became a bodhisattva close to the human world.

Fukuda Sosen was born in Gifu in 1950.
He is very a famous Buddhist painter from the Showa period.
He got many prizes and held 5 solo exhibitions and 7 group exhibitions.
He studied old painting and had a deep knowledge of old Buddhist paintings.
