Bizen ware is one of famous Japanese pottery. It is from Bizen province (Okayama, Japan). Konishi Touko is very famous for Sangiri.
Because the masters Mimura Toukei and Konishi Touko, the first artists, together discovered the technique for making Sangiri in 1926.
That’s why they produce very good quality of Sangri Bizen Ware.
This Taikai Chaire, it was made by 2nd Toko Konishi (1927-2018).
She succeeded to 2nd Toko Konishi in 1954 after her father 1st Toko Konishi passed away.
Now their products are made by craftsmen working under the master of kiln, Konishi Tozo after 2019.
We could not check proper age, because it belonged to our relative (Okayama, Japan).
She told us it is unused. We did not see any sign of using.
You are able to use this chaire for your tea ceremonies.
It is very beautiful colors and patterns.
It is in excellent vintage condition consistent with age with original lid, original shifuku, original paulownia box and original guide papers. (Unused)
