Hagi-yaki is one of famous Japanese pottery based in Hagi and Nagato in Yamaguchi, Japan.
The Matcha tea bowl is made by Ryuho Harada.
He (born in 1932) studied Hagi pottery under his great mentor Matsukari Yamato who was very famous for Oni Hagi.
Ryuho Harada started own Nagasawa kiln in 1969. He got prizes more than 10 times and finally became METI-designated traditional crafts person.
It is unused with original paulownia box, original cloth and original guide paper.
The tea bowl is very strong and very unique crackled glaze (kan-nue)
We believe Hagi-yaki is good for teas.
