Bizen ware is one of famous Japanese pottery. It is from Bizen province (Okayama, Japan).
It is a matcha teal bowl by famous Bizen artist Ishida Yasuhiro born in 1952 in Bizen city.
Ishida Yasuhiro graduated from Bizen pottery center in 1974 and he learned Bizen pottery under Kimura Touzan at Tokeido-kiln.
He won many prizes at Japan Kogei Craft Exhibitions and other Exhibitions.
Currently his son Ishida Kazuya succeeded to the kiln.
It is in excellent vintage condition consistent with age with original paulownia box, original cloth and original guide paper. (Unused)
We got it from our relative in Okayama.
