Kato Yasukage (1964-2012) was born in 1964 as the first son of 13th Kato Yasukage.
Originally named was Kato Masaharu.

1982 He studied pottery under Living National Treasure, Toshu Yamamoto (1906-1994).
1987 He graduated from Sculpture Department of Nagoya University of Arts.
1992 He became a member of Mino Tougei Kyokai.
1999 He got the prize of Mino Pottery.
2001 He succeeded to 14th Kato Yasukage.
2003 He got the best prize of Mino Tougei Kyokai.
2006 His oribe ware became Boston Museum Collection.
2009 He got the prize of Gifu Prefecture.
It is very rare item.
It was belonged to our father.
He was very famous for Mino, Shino and Oribe.
Especially his oribe is very beautiful shape and colors.
His works are rarely seen even in Japanese market.
