Bizen ware is one of famous Japanese pottery and also has a history more than 1,000 years.
It was made by one of famous Bizen artists Toho Kimura born in 1927.
Toshoen Kiln started to produce their works in 1913 by his father Shoji Kimura.
He succeeded this kiln in 1962. All his works are also strong, simple and full of wabi-sabi essence with very stunning colors.
We believe it is one of his best tea caddies.
It is very strong and very beautiful Bizen with Yohen, Goma, Haikaburi, Kuttsuki, Stone Burst.
It is in excellent vintage condition consistent with age with original lid, original shifuku, original paulownia box. (Unused or Very less used)
We got it from our friend. She was a Bizen Tea Caddies’ collector.
As for Shifuku, it is pretty expensive. Because it is used the fabric made in Tatsumura Textile. They are most famous Art Textile company in Japan.
