Fudo Myoo is known as Acala or Achala (Acalanatha or Aryacalanatha).
He was known as Immovable Wisdom King and destroyer of evil.
We believe he is the personification of Dainichi Nyorai (Vairocana or Mahavairocana).
Fudo Myoo is one of five wisdom kings and most important divinity in Japanese Buddhism especially Shingon, Tendai, Zen, Nichiren and Shugendo.
It was chanted by the priest (No. 13 Senryuji in the inner sanctuary of The 88 Temple Pilgrimage, No. 65 Sankakuji)
The artist, Oota Shuho born in 1930 in Gifu.
He is very good at Japanese painting especially Buddhist painting.
His name is Who’s Who in Japanese Art.
