Shino ware is a type of Mino ware produced in the southeastern part of Gifu Prefecture. This type of pottery ware was usually decorated with underglaze iron painting and covered with white feldspathic glaze. Noda Tozan (1938-) born as the sone of 1st Noda Tozan.
Original name is Noda Daisaku.
He studied pottery under his father, 1st Noda Tozan and he studied about tea under Daitokuji Priest Takada Myouho (Reiun) Roshi and Onozawa Kankai.
He is METI-designated traditional crafts person, and his name is who’s who of Japanese Pottery
This tea bowl is unused with original paulownia box, original cloth and original guide paper.
It is beautiful colors, shape and surface. You can never get bored about his Shino ware.
You are also able to use this Matcha Tea Bowl for Tea Ceremony.
