Bizen ware is one of famous Japanese pottery. It is from Bizen province (Okayama, Japan).
Mizukami Gakusho was born in 1958 and original name is Mizukami Masayoshi.
He graduated from Shibaura Institute of Technology and worked as a architected for 7 years.
He studied Bizen pottery under Goto Gakusui (born in 1934) from 1989.
He also studied Bizen pottery at Bizen Pottery School.
He started his own Noborigama (earthen wood fired kiln) in 1993.
He normally uses rough soils and does not polish by sandpapers.
It is in excellent vintage condition consistent with age with original paulownia box, original cloth and original guide paper. (Unused)
We got it from our friend. She told us unused.
We did not see any sign of using and surface is still rough.
