Fuji Tsumugi is called Oishi Tsumugi that is one of oldest Tsumugi in Japan.
Oishi Tsumugi is a type of tsumugi fabric that started to be woven around 1680 in Yamanashi. It is durable, light, soft and has a smoothness unique to silk. It is also more sturdy and has a different texture from other tsumugi fabrics.
It is combining the characteristics of both silk and tsumugi fabrics.
