Bizen ware is one of famous Japanese pottery. It is from Bizen province (Okayama, Japan).
It is made by very famous Bizen artist, Shibaoka Shusen (1948-).
He was born the second son of 1st Shibaoka Kozan and original name is Hideo.
He graduated Tokai University in 1972. He leaned Bizen Pottery under his father and elder brother from 1974.
He was independent in 1985.
He got many prizes and became famous Bizen artist as same as his elder brother.
He is also the member of Bizen Touyukai and Bizen Toshinkai.
This pair cups, they are unused with original paulownia box and original guide paper in excellent vintage condition consistent with age.
We got this pair cups from our friend. She found this in her family’s warehouse.
We do not see any sign of using.
