Bizen ware is one of famous Japanese pottery. It is from Bizen province (Okayama, Japan). Konishi Touko is very famous for Sangiri.
It is made by Kimura Ichiyo Kiln under the supervision of very famous Bizen artist, Kimura Hiroshi (1941 -).
He was born the first son of Kimura Ichiyo (1912-1989).
He graduated the sculpture department at Kanazawa College of Art in 1964.
He studied Bizen Pottery from his father Kimura Ichiyo.
He got many prizes starting from 1st Japan Ceramic Art Exhibition in 1971.
He became the head of Ichiyo Kiln after his father passed away.
He is METI-designated traditional crafts person and the chairman of Bizen Toyukai.
These cups are unused with original paulownia box and original guide paper in excellent vintage condition consistent with age. (Unused)
We rarely see exquisite Hidasuki colors’ teacups set with strong shapes.
