Vintage Silk Fukuro Obi, Japanese Kimono Sash Belt, Bridal Trousseau,

Fukuro Obi is less formal than Maru Obi. It is constructed by sewing a patterned front fabric to a plain backing. A standard Rokutsu Fukuro Obi has patterned brocade across approximately 60% of the front, with the remaining portion left plain. A Zentsu Fukuro Obi is patterned across the full front, while a Maru Obi is patterned on both sides.

This Fukuro Obi has traditional Hananoshimon (Japanese ribbon) motifs and was designed for Furisode kimono. It has been lightly used. It may also be used as a bed runner, table runner, or wall hanging.
