Bizen ware is one of famous Japanese pottery. It is from Bizen province (Okayama, Japan). Konishi Touko is very famous for Sangiri.

It was made by a famous Bizen artist 2nd Kozan Shibaoka (1912-1998).
He born in Okayawa as the first son of 1st Kozan Shibaoka. Original name was Tsuyoshi.
His father, 1st Kozan Shibaoka established his kiln Shibaokatosendo in 1912.
He started to help his father’s kiln from 1936 and produce his pottery from 1945.
He succeeded to 2nd Kozan Shibaoka in 1945 after his father 1st Kozab Shibaoka passed away.
He became METI-designated traditional crafts person in 1983.
Currently, the first son (Masashi) of 2nd Kozan Shibaoka succeeded to 3rd Kozan Shibaoka and the head of Shibaokakosendo.
3rd Kozan Shibaoka also became METI-designated traditional crafts person in 2008.

This sake set is in excellent vintage condition consistent with age. (unused) It comes with original paulownia box, original cloths and original guide papers.
We got this Bizen Sake Set from our friend in Okayama.
