Shino ware is a type of Mino ware produced in the southeastern part of Gifu Prefecture. This type of pottery ware was usually decorated with underglaze iron painting and covered with white feldspathic glaze.
The Shino kiln produced tableware which included mainly tea ceremony utensils. – Quote from A Dictionary of Japanese Art Terms

Ouji Kiln is producing potteries since middle of Edo era (1680-1800). They use clay in Seto area and they use own glaze recipe.
They are specialized in Shino, Oribe and Kaiyu.
They are oldest Noborigama in Seto area.
This sake cup was made by Kanji Kato (Born in 1927).
He was one of famous Shino artist and a mast of Ouji Kiln..
He got the many prizes like the top award of Japan Artist Group (JAG) Exhibition.
Currently Kato Soya became a head of the kiln and lead the kiln.
It is simple, strong, plain and elegant wabi-sabi style.

You are able to use the sake cup for all seasons.
It comes with original paulownia box, original cloth and original guide paper. (Unused)
We got it from our friend.
We did not see any sign of using. And also, she does not drink alcohol.
