Fudo Myoo is known as Acala or Achala (Acalanatha or Aryacalanatha).
He was known as Immovable Wisdom King and destroyer of evil.
We believe he is the personification of Dainichi Nyorai (Vairocana or Mahavairocana).
Fudo Myoo is one of five wisdom kings and most important divinity in Japanese Buddhism especially Shingon, Tendai, Zen, Nichiren and Shugend?.
It is auspicious that the climbing dragon holding a cintamani stone from raging clouds to the sky.
Cintamani stone means the incarnation of Kannon.
Ancient Japanese believe you leap straight to the top, achieve your biggest goals and expel evil spirits. Dragon is strong protector.
It was chanted by the priest (No. 13 Senryuji in the inner sanctuary of The 88 Temple Pilgrimage, No. 65 Sankakuji)
Senryuji means Immortal Drong’s temple.
The artist, Yanagihara Ryusen born in 1929 in Gifu.
He is very good at Japanese painting especially dragon painting.
